Boat
What happens if the Shins decided to drink? YOU GET BOAT! It's like The Shins for parties, with something else in there I can't quite put my finger on. I have Let's Drag Our Feet it's really good.

I really cant make my mind up about these. They have that indie chinga chinga aesthetic that I hate, yet there is some great melodies and I can hear a lot of British influences going on. Hmmmm.

Well I've never heard of these guys before, but apparently they have a new album out today, Setting the Paces. It's really really ****ing good. Sort of a combination of The Shins if they weren't so produced and Girls. There more creative than a lot of the lo-fi garage rock type stuff coming out now, usually when I listen to albums like this a lot of the songs run together. With Boat I never lost interest for a second, they actually vary their sound from song to song! And nothing seems like filler to me, the whole album is quality songs. I'd post a video, but there aren't any I can find. You can probably use sleepy jack's myspace link if you're interested.
