I would consider Air more of a lounge/ambient band than Trip Hop and can't really get past their first two releases.

Gnarls Barkley
The Gorillaz
Portishead
Mezzanine
Massive Attack
Sneaker Pimps

All the ones I can think of.

Deltron 3030 - s/t
its more of a space rap album, but damn is it incredible.

My list for essential trip hop would be:

DJ Shadow - Endtroducing...
Esthero - Breath From Another
Hooverphonic - A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular
Massive Attack - Mezzanine
Massive Attack - Protection
Portishead - Dummy
Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X
UNKLE - Psyence Fiction

This is one of the greatest trip-hop/electronica albums I've ever heard:

Morning Dove White by One Dove

Also, this is a pretty cool album:

Becoming X by Sneaker Pimps

Hmmm. Never heard the One Dove album. Any fans of Trip Hop should check out a PMO tip and that is 'Lulu Rouge'. Trip Hop is back on the menu and mighty fine it is too.

I would hugely recommend it. I'd say it's a contender for best album of the '90s and one of the best albums ever, in any genre. It's lack of fame is unfortunate, but it really is good. It was so ahead of its time, in my opinion, that it still sounds fresh today, like a band could have released it last week.

That's why we got Hmmm as in I missed that one grrr lol. I may well check it out. It's a shame that their are three terrible rap tracks on Terranova's 'Close The Door' as the rest of the album is excellent, a big recommendation.

This is the cover I have for my Sneaker Pimps Becoming X album:

I presume the alt cover is American?

Cool, thanks. I'm feeling in an electronica state of mind, lately, so I'll check into it.

Yes, I guess so. I'm American, and that's the only cover I've seen.
