What about the first album by Hooverphonic A New Stereophonic Sound Spectacular? They were considered trip-hop back in 1996.

Anything by Gorillaz, not their more popular stuff, but especially on D Sides or their debut.

some crazy stuff there.

New to the forum, so hello :) I'm a big fan of Trip Hop and very disappointed how small the genre is.

Here are some of my favorites(Artist - Album), though some may be stretching "trip-hop" a bit.
Telepopmusik - Angel Milk
Bitter:Sweet - The Mating Game
Lovage - Music to Make Love to your Old Lady By
Zero7 - Simple Things
Mandalay - Solace
Olive - Trickle
Lamb - What Sound

Of course anything Portishead and Massive Attack. I'm also a huge fan of Bjork.

I would be interested in hearing the Telepopmusik album. The only track I have by them is Breathe but its a good track.

Portishead, Massive Attack and Lamb are the big 3 for me.

What about......Roni Size, drum and base inspired trip hop maybe.

What about Kruder and Dorfmeister's K&D sessions album must be a little trip hop in there. For me this album is one of the most amazing pieces of music ever put together.

Morcheeba?

My favourites have already been mentioned. Tricky's Maxinquaye is something I have playing a lot recently.

Not to be a pain in the arse, but can Jackhammer or somebody who knows what they're talking about lay down a definitive list...?
I'm familiar with the obvious Bristol stuff but know nothing beyond that
