Grand Ole Party
Totally rubbish name for a band but i've been listening to their album 'Humanimals' and it's excellent.
Recommended to anyone who likes Patti Smith or PJ Harvey , there's even a bit of the Yeah Yeah Yeah's in there too but much funkier. MySpace.com - grand ole party - SAN DIEGO, California - Club / Big Beat / Funk - www.myspace.com/grandoleparty

Sounds strange for a funky bassline by my favourite would be Masters Of The Universe by Hawkwind.
Not the studio version , the live version on Space Ritual which is played at about twice the speed of the original.
