Sondre Lerche
Hello. I'd appreciate a little help from Sondre Lerche fans. I got Dead Passengers coming up on last.fm a lot last summer and I got myself a copy of that one song but I want to know if any of his others are similar. I don't know where to start but I know that I like everything about that song. Thanks. :p:

I honestly don't know what your asking, but I think the answer is pick up an entire album.

But I don't know where to start. I don't know if he's changed a lot throughout his career because I only know one song. That's why I want help. :p:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW
Can't believe this is all that Sondre Lerche has on these forums. He is a pop god. |
I never heard of him, interesting indeed.
Edit: after a walk on youtube, i definitively adopt this Norwegian. |
Hmm .. One of my friends lived in the same building as him for a while :) I don't really know his songs, though.

Nope .. I never visited him when he lived there. Either way, it's not like I would have said anything if I had met him in the stairs one day. I'm not a fan, but even if I was, I'm quite shy about approaching celebrities I like. I make my girlfriend ask for autographs instead. ;)

I've met him! I saw him play in London and chatted with him after the show for a bit. He's really friendly and down to earth. (And super cute, of course!) Actually, he is going to be playing in Ithaca, NY shortly. Maybe I'll go see him again..
@ladyface - I really like these songs: Two Way Monologue, Modern Nature, Say It All & Sleep on Needles -- hope that is helpful :) Did you all know his songs are on the Dan In Real Life soundtrack? I had no idea until way after I saw the movie. |
I might be able to help you out a little! I'm a huge Sondre fan.
If you are looking for things similar to Dead Passengers I would recommend getting the album that song is on, Faces Down. Also, Two Way Monologue would be a good album to look into. The Duper Sessions is a little more of a mellower jazzy love song album, Phantom Punch is a little bit more rockin', and Heartbeat Radio is poppy-ish. All wonderful albums, he excels at so many different styles! If you ever get the chance to see him live I would take it, I've seen him 3 times now and he's great. He's a talker so the shows are always interesting. He's super nice as well, he always hangs around after the shows to chat with everyone. If this helps at all I'm going to pick a song from each album that I, personally, feel is a decent representation for that particular body of work. Maybe you can look them up and give them a listen, then it will help direct you to whatever album would fit you best? Faces Down - You Know So Well Duper Sessions - (I Wanna) Call It Love Phantom Punch - Say It All Two Way Monologue - Stupid memory Heartbeat Radio - Amighty Moon Hope this helps a little! :) |
