"with rock instrumentation"
Ballad: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&c...ition&ct=title So a ballad is a song sung in verse only, right? So an anthem is a song sung in verse only with rock instrumentation, right? |

Okay, if you're going to cite a source why not keep using the same source? I'm going to take a wild stab at thefreedictionary probably saying something along the lines of a ballad is a poem written meant to be sung or a popular romance song (which it is). Radiohead is neither. It probably does say that, my dictionary does so naturally you wouldn't use it because it contradicts your statements and you don't want that, you want to be "right not accurate".

If that really is the criteria for a rock anthem then you've just made about 60% of them redundant.
