(of course you're gonna like Radiohead)
Easy turbo...that sort of talk is no longer about music. I noticed that it is the American tours that sell out within minutes for the gents and not the British ones by the way....

People who think Radiohead are pretentious are just complete ****s.
Any claims that Radiohead are some superband who has redefined music are made by fans
Personally though,
I think that Radiohead are truly amazing and have broken out of almost every music clone possible, just by progressing through so many different music genres and styles.
Ha ha,
Me so literate.

Aren't all great bands, to a certain extent, pretentious? Aspiring to greatness and having the belief of superior talent and knowledge are characteristics that separate bands and elevate some to legendary status. A humble band would have followed up OC with a conventional disc consisting of more of the same material. Instead Kid A became the biggest selling avant garde album in the history of music.

I agree...Kid A was the one that got me interested...before they were just good, then they became good and gained longevity and piqued my interest enough to make me keep coming back.

What's so avant-garde about DSOTM? Every song on the album is flagrantly radio-friendly, save "On The Run", maybe.

DSOTM is nowhere near Avant garde. On topis the last minute of ALL I NEED is still giving me goosebumps-stunningly brilliant.
