The Dark Side of the Moon spent 741 consecutive weeks on the USA-based Billboard 200 album chart, the longest duration in history.[9] It is also the fifth highest selling album globally of all time, selling more than forty million units.[10]

And most people still have'nt got a clue what they look like. The biggest cult band of all I say.

It's amazing what they did with this album, allowing the buyer to choose the price they wanted to pay, though I doubt it will really shake up the music industry. I mean, Radiohead can afford to make such a potentially costly risk take. The fact of the matter is, Radiohead has so many admirers that they will most definitely make a substantial profit from the online distribution of In Rainbows.

I chose the option of downloading this album for £0.00, though I will most definitely purchase it when it comes out on CD as I'm always intrigued by all the Radiohead artwork, especially now details have circulated that Thom Yorke will be creating it all.

I first played this through a few times and liked it, but I wasnt gettin the feel for it that everyone else was. The other day I was studying for a test and after one listen through I could not stop playing the CD over and over. Amazing! I love every song on this album now. Its a beautiful piece of work, and is now tied for my second favorite Radiohead album.

@ Lee - You are right, ALL I NEED does give you goosebumps!

If too many people follow Radioheads suit then eventually people will stop paying money for any music and just stockpile thousands of songs.
I think Radioheads idea was genius, but it was Radioheads idea.
Not The Charlatans.

If Radiohead start the fall of the music industry they're going to go down at the best band, ever.

Not if they know what's good for them, they won't.

The fall of the industry will never happen.
Not while there are smaller, lesser known bands that rely on the industry to front the money in the first place.

All I Need and Videotape, easily. I tried downloading Videotape ages ago, but all I could get was the live versions. Really glad they released it with this album.
