Quite close with the comparisons.
I'd say Jon Spencer meets the Birthday Party. Not sure if I like it or not though.

I do like Frog Eyes. All I have of theirs is The Bloody Hand, but it's fantastic. Aren't they somehow related to Wolf Parade?
But enough about Frog Eyes. How about Wolf Eyes?

I've never seen a Frog Eyes thread on a music forum before. I can't remember how I got to know about them... I think I was talking to somebody about Canadian bands and I swapped Run Chico Run as a recommendation for their Frog Eyes recommendation. The Oscillator's Hum was the first song I got to and there was a free download link so I went for it and that was the beginning of my love for the band.
The vocals are beyond amazing. I spent a couple of years trying to plug them but nobody seemed interested so I gave up. |
