The coolest thing about MSPs is how that dude disappeared and never showed up.

Always liked the Manics (up until Everything Must Go after that they died)

and have a new found respect for them after seeing them at Reading Fest 2008 I've neglected their music in recent years.

The Holy Bible has jumped into my all time top 20 after re listening to it after all these years.

It's hard to believe it's the same band making the dirge you hear these days (well not really the same since Richey is still M.I.A)

They definitely were better with Edwards' creativity, a sad loss.

I wish they'd go back to their early 90's awesomeness

they were great live at Reading as well

opening with Faster and closing with You Love Us and of course Design For Life

Never a truer word has been spoken on the subject of music

it's really unfortunate that they have become a really bad band since EMG

This is an article by the Stud Brothers, from Melody Maker, on the Manics. The Stud Brothers was a Melody Maker feature where they did interviews with bands and were generally very harsh and made the band being interviewed look silly. The Manics were one of the bands that held their own. I think this is a fun read and other MSP fans will enjoy.

Classic manics interviews - Destruction, Sex & Heroin

im not surprised they held their own

their Rhythm guitarist is one who carved '4Real' into his arm with a razor when the bands authenticity and values were challenged in an interview.

"Even the bands from the past that we love - The Who, the Stones, the Pistols, The Clash - the way all of them turned out in the end was disillusioning, a letdown. We'll never let that happen." - Richey
