Default Art Brut

Art Brut is a british indie rock band, with punk rock influences and talk-sing vocals. Lastfm says their most similar artists are: the Rakes, the Futureheads and the Libertines. I don't know if its true since I don't listen to any of those bands.

I have Bang Bang Rock And Roll and It's A Bit Complicated, I like Bang Bang Rock and Roll better. My favorite song is formed a band.

Recommendations:
Formed A Band
Nag Nag Nag Nag
Bang Bang Rock And Roll
Emily Kaine

They did a session on BBC 6 Music radio the other day - I can't post URLs yet but you should be able to access it here for the next few days:

worldwideweb dot bbc dot co dot uk forward-slash 6music forward-slash shows forward-slash

Look under A for Art Brut in the Hub with Gideon Coe...

not bad. kinda like it but something about either the way the guy sings or the way his voice sounds doesn't catch with me so much.

Bang Bang Rock & Roll is sooooo much better than It's A Bit Complicated. The lines are completely class.

"No more songs about sex, drugs and rock & roll; it's booooring!"

"I've seen her naked, TWICE!"

"Haven't read the NME in so long, don't know what genre we belong."

Formed a Band, Emily Kane, Good Weekend, Bad Weekend, Fight...And pretty much all the rest of the album, are perfect.

Agreed, his voice reminds me of William Shatner.

i heard of them ages ago when they just released the Nag Nag Nag ep. i think one of the best tunes is Emily Kane and Formed a Band. i havent heard some of the new songs off the album but i expect them to be quite good like.

ahh, i'm srsly not a massive fan of art brut, i remember hearing them iiin like 2004 or something? and liking them a bit because of the catchyness, then absolutely hating them.
but to be honest i haven't given any of the newer stuff a listen which i probably should.
