The Fratellis
 

They are a 3 piece band hailing from Glasgow, picked up they debut the other day 'Costello Music' and really getting into it. Extremely upbeat and catchy, puts me in a good mood. My favourite tracks have to be 'Henrietta' 'Whistle For The Choir' 'Chelsea Dagger' 'For The Girl' 'Creeping Up The Backstairs'

I love the Fratellis! Costello Music is a great upbeat album that puts you in a great mood.

They are good as they are an upbeat indie band who are in the mainstream and really thats a rarity these days.

I loved this when it came out-alas, it's unoriginal and loses it's appeal after a few listens. In fact I can't listen to it all only a few weeks after it's release.

As the above poster said, it was amazing to listen to the first few times but got a bit tiresome after that. Nevertheless, great song.

They are also very scruffy they should take more care in their appearance and maybe it might rub off on the music they make.

ya.. i remember hearing a song and liking it. so i d/l the album. i now feel like i just drank milk thats off.

it might be nice to hear why some of you dont enjoy them. i think they write some fun music

You're going to laugh, but I thought these people named themselves after the villains in the Goonies!

I first heard Henrietta when it was featured on MSN Music and, like a lot of people, I thought it was a great song but I never really thought that The Fratellis would explode. They were just another band. That single just made in into the top 20 and that was that. A good position for a relatively new band but nothing to get excited about. Then came Chelsea Dagger and The Fratellis were everywhere. I'm surprised that one didn't make it to the top of the charts.

The album lived up to my expectations and I saw them live this summer. Musically everything was perfect and I'd see them again but I won't lie and say that they were the best live band ever because they didn't really interact with the crowd and I like that kind of thing.

The Fratelli's are very very unoriginal.
There are countless bands which sound like The Fratelli's.
Probably why it gets so boring so quickly.

Its got the Indie theme most bands do. I do found that the songs are particulary catchy and fun and deserve a place in some of todays best Indie bands.

Went through a stage of listening to them over n over but like some of the others said can get repetitive but after a while of not listening to them they can be real good and I always seam to think to myself why dont I listen to them more.


Also love the image. Some of the best Album covers I'v seen.

Me and Jon Fratelli have loads in common. We both, at one point in our childhood, sold the contents of our rooms in order to purchase a guitar our parents wouldn't buy us. xD

Really like both of their albums

Their second album made it into my local indie stores bargain bin within 6 months of it's release. That speaks volumes for me.
