The Jam? Really? I've only heard All Mod Cons but really don't see a similarity.

Well I downloaded Blue Screen Life and Summer in Abadon. Both were amazing albums, and not quite what I expected. I thought they were more mainstream alternative rock to tell you the truth... But, both albums were very solid, definitely to go in my cd rotation.

Not yet (they're playing next Tuesday...though I'm still undecided), and I also agree about the thread.

I saw them like last Tuesday I think it was at Black Cat. They're not one of my favorite bands, but they put on a good show. I wasn't too impressed by Otis or whatever, the band that opened for them. To be honest I only really listen to Blue Screen Life for the most part, and Summer In Abaddon on rare occassions, so I didn't know some of the songs, but the concert was a good time. I wish I could drink, I hate going to Black Cat (basically a bar) and not being able to drink...

Almost missed this! I turn 21 in August... so quite a bit. Black Cat's not bad, they get a lot of good indie stuff going through. Same with Rock n Roll Hotel. But as I can't drink and both of those are more like bars with stages, 9:30 club is my favorite venue for now.

Also, to the earlier discussion: I saw them live over the summer. It was kind of a poor show and to be honest, it turned me off from the band. They did this weird thing where they sped up half their songs and played them like twice as fast. It ruined those songs for the most part. |
