I'm currently uploading Repetition by Unwound for Stu, is anyone else interested in it?

recommended for Sonic Youth, Fugazi, Polvo, Slint fans. If you like the dissonant guitar sound in any way then I recommend it. One of the most underrated bands around.

I'm surprised you haven't heard it. Phenomenal album. Did they do anything else? I have never checked to be honest.

They're in my list of recommendations on lastfm. I should be checking them out in the next couple of days or so.

After listening to it i'm surprised too. Very impressive stuff, Fugazi with more of a bite.

Anyone heard Shipping News? I love June of 44 as well as this band. As far as live goes I would love to have seen this band back in the day as well as Slint. I am fortunate enough to have seen Polvo last year and I think Blonde Redhead last year as well. And Don Cab this year was face melting.

On a sidenote LOOSE LIPS have you heard the song Capt Mouth by Arab on Radar?

yeah they have 4 or 5 others, all of which are excellent. They got progressively more experimental as they went on, their last album (Leaves Turn Inside You) is an absolute masterpiece of arty alternative rock. I've got a link if you're interested, it's a different animal from anything else they did.

if anyone wants any of their albums just let me know.

Of the three I have I'd say Leaves Turn Inside You is the most refined sounding maybe leaning more toward post-rock than post-hardcore of earlier albums if that makes sense. I also enjoy Repetition and occasionally The Future of What.
