Myth Takes is great... It's not as good as Louden Up Now though (such a good album).

I haven't heard Myth Takes yet, but it sounds like a person with a lisp trying to say "mistakes". Actually, that might be what they were going for. I've heard Louden Up Now, and damn, it's so amazing.

Get the album - its great and I'm listening to it right now :)

is the greatest electro-funk album we'll get all year. When it starts you can't stop dancing.

I severely dislike this band.

Haven't heard of them till last year, but have to admit they're pretty good at what they do. Myth takes was a really good album of dance punk, you really don't get that kind of stuff a lot in the music scene.

saw them a month ago... if you like them the GO SEE THEM LIVE. i wasn't in the mood that night, but it's been a LONG time since i've seen a crowd so into a gig...

I tried but failed to get into them...

follow up - they DO remind me too much of every bar band i've seen back in the day in the US... but there are a few good songs....

as i said before tho - if you do like them make sure to see them live.

I didn't move it...someone opened a thread about them, I merged them and apparently failed at life during the process...:(

OT: They're coming to Croatia this summer, along with Sonic Youth and the New York Dolls.....I'm still waiting for someone more interesting to be announced....I'm gonna give Myth takes another go just so I don't later find out they're massively awesometastic and I missed them playing live...:-/

Not really. Louden Up Now is so much better than Myth Takes. I think so anyway.

i think they are about equally as good albums...if you have the chance to see them play though, don't miss it...it's a fun show...they are one of only a handful of bands that can get punk rock kids dancing.

I'm listening to Myth Takes now and its really boring, is the rest of the albums different than the title track? If it isn't i'm probably going to delete this.

I think their name is genius-totally subversive, even if their music isn't(but I still like it).

So I just rediscovered !!!'s cover of "Take Ecstasy With Me" and I can't stop listening to it. So good, probably one of my favorite covers.

I still need to hear Louden Up Now.

My brother's friend's band (I know, it's practically me!) opened up for them when they came to Pittsburgh.

So how does everybody else pronounce the name?

The second half of the album is excellent. I never tire of it. 'Heart Of Hearts' and 'Yadnus' sound great cranked loud. Good party tunes.

According to the band themselves it can be bam bam bam, pow pow pow, or any one-syllable word three times in succession or something like that, but they're more commonly referred to as chk chk chk.

!!! didn't even add the 'chk chk chk' part. I'd be pissed if I were them.

I have a copy of Louden Up Now with a giant sticker on it that says "pronounced chk chk or whatever whatever whatever" on it, so I don't think they're too unhappy about it.

Saw them over the summer at a really tiny venue called the Pike Room in Pontiac, MI.

They played a somewhat short set, but if they were to go on any longer I think I would have passed out. Either way, it was honestly one of the funnest shows/parties i've ever been to.

I love Myth Takes and !!! is a great name for a band.

Louden Up Now will always be my favorite.
