(smog)
is great. Like most indie artists (imo) not the most consistent, but his best songs are way up there. Delicious slices of heaven. Very chill, relaxing voice, interesting instrumentation and what not. Basically everyone should check him out.

Holy ****. This guy is great.
Very folksy lo-fi tunes with excellent songwriting, what more could you ask for? Any fans of Andrew Bird, and Bon Iver should definitely check him out. this seems like a good song, anyways.. |

Knock Knock, Dongs of Sevotion, The Doctor Came at Dawn and Red Apple Falls are all absolutely amazing records.

I have not kept up with the recent albums (although I hear him on the local NPR station sometimes - he lives in Austin so they like him) but he used to be a huge favorite of mine. I love The Doctor Came at Dawn and Red Apple Falls. I saw him play when he toured for his RAF album - I'm happy for him that he's learning how to use that baritone voice and continue making a living from his music but I love him more as a shy indie-rocker who called his band Smog instead of naming it after himself.
