I prefer Unknown Pleasures slightly more than Closer, although they act well as opposing albums with a different sound. New Dawn Fades is the one! The intro, the whining guitar, the vocals, everything about that song is perfect.

song wise, its decades, that song is perfection. album wise... closer. brill band.

Unknown Pleasures is raw and lo-fi. Closer is lush and refined. Which is why I like it more.

Ian Curtis died 28 years ago today, I listened to Still and watched Control again.

I may have to stick on Unknown Pleasures to celebrate. Well, not celebrate, but you know what i mean.

Is it blasphemous to prefer New Order to Joy Division? There's something about the mood in most JD songs that doesn't really click with me. A lot of songs sound like they're trying a bit too hard to be dark.

Well today it's all about JD, i like one New Order album, and would 'Ceremony' be considerd a cover since it was oringnally a JD and the last song Ian ever wrote?.

Jah Division is a dub group that covers Joy Division songs if you want to check them out. but anyway my mom is a huge fan.

They're cool, not incredible though.
