Closer is surely far better than Unknown Pleasures, I don't know what the excitement is about the latter, apart from that some think it is more accessible. Closer isn't perfect but it must have around 3 songs which are quite memorable.

i like both Unknown Pleasures and Closer
so much so in fact I got the deluxe editions cos the live CDs are fab, much closer to their Sabbath-ish sound live i also got Still deluxe, the bonus live CD is good but the original live side sucks donkey bollocks although the studio side is ok |

I like the more haunting voice of Ian on that song, it is one of my top ten songs by JD. The Crow soundtrack was definitely a great all around soundtrack. I own that and the Pump up the volume soundtrack for that reason.

LWTUA has more of a symbolic pleasure than a sound pleasure. Regardless, it's a song you'll never forget. Not to sound like an idiot, but I always liked the FOB version a lot. It just has an amazing sound for such a symbolic song
