The link. Apart from play a Joy Division tune with fancy graphics...what else does it do?

Well, the setting is the cover of their first album. I'm not saying it's a amasterpiece, just thought it was neat.

I wasn't putting it down. I was hoping I was missing something more.

Old thread and a cliched point but having recently bought the 4 disc Heart and Soul set, I have to say that JD are probably one of the finest bands to grace our planet.

I just cannot stop listening to it.

I've been meaning to get into some Joy Divison, but I'm not sure whether to start with Closer or Unknown Pleasures. While Unknown Pleasures is generally thought of as the best, I could get Closer for about 3-4 bucks cheaper.

My dad's a big fan of Joy Division, so I've known about them from a very young age. I think Transmission might well be the very first song I loved.

Amazon.com: Best of Joy Division (Bonus CD): Joy Division

Best of has a slew of their more radio friendly hits. For 6 dollars used its worth a shot. Disorder really is a killer song. I still haven't forgiven Trent Reznor or The Killers for ruining Joy Division songs.

Both are great in there own way, can't go wrong with either one to start... I would probably go with "Unknown Pleasures" first.

As well as this album:

I always thought that NIN's cover of "Dead Souls" was actually quite good. One of my favorite covers actually. My favorite song off The Crow soundtrack after "Burn" by The Cure.
