Sleater-Kinney
Own! Call The Doctor, Dig Me Out, The Hot Rock, All Hands On the Bad One, One Beat, and The Woods are chaotic rock masterpieces. Probably my favorite band ever.

I think I once had (or still do) The woods, which was supposed to be the pinnacle of their work...wasn't much impressed. They split up right?

Yeah, they split... I'm sorry that you weren't impressed with The Woods but it's not their best. I thought it was a wonderful record but you might enjoy something like Dig Me Out more. If you don't like that record than I can't help you

I like them and they got better as time went on. If not for that Heartless Bastards album coming out the same year The Woods would have been my album of the year for 2005.
