I'm listening to "And this is our music" right now, and I have to say I'm really loving it.

When I was living in California in the late 90's I started getting into the weirder ****, and fell in love with this album and it is still one of my mainstays on my playlists. If I was to recommend any of their music, it would all be from this album. I know there is a renewed interest since they are touring again. And sadly I will be away from the district when they are at the 930 club.

I gave ...And This Is Our Music a listen and I have to say that I was very impressed. Plenty of variation too.

I like a few of their 7"s and that's about it. Some good 90s indie but others did it way better.

The rest I have accounted for with the Tepid Peppermint Wonderland 2-disc collection, great to listen to in the car, that.

I still love 'My Bloody Underground' (the last album) to pieces, it's really a step forward.
It's just a glorious mess, eclectic, fragile but relentless, all in a semi-conscious haze of angry activism... really the best drone album I've heard.

If there was any justice, it would have made many a snotty critic's end-of-year list; but this is self-released, independent music. So long, media coverage!

He does go on about it, but like countless before him he saw the industry for what it is, and in any industry you have the rich elite who control everything. The big 5 that dictate what you or I hear on radio/see on TV/ advertised online have been tearing chunks out of artists forever, right?

But now we have all this *points at internet* artists don't need to go into debt in order to promote themselves or put their record out.
That's artists btw, not white indie-boppers who dream of someday posing for the cameras on Letterman

I really liked Take it from the Man! And just recently watched Dig! I think its a bit silly how the Warhols frontman goes on about how Anton is sooo progressive and revolutionary because to me its just good music. Would really like to hear methodrone as I read that that album was heavily influenced by shoegaze and I'd like to hear the BJM take on it as well as their latest album. Need to get my hands on that before Wednesday as they are playing at a local venue and I am probably going to see them.
