Pete Bennett AKA PERFECT PETE
[COLOR="DarkOrchid"][FONT="Microsoft Sans Serif"][B]On saturday I attended the gig of Pete Bennett, the show was full of energy, everyone singing and dancing along with Pete, Pete's such a natural entertainer he always gets the crown moving.
Every song got the crowd bouncing. The songs he sang where Cosmonaught,Nuff Buzzin',Happy Land,White Wedding (Billy Idol cover) and a new song that I didn't catch the title too. This is my 3rd gig that I have attended of Pete's each one getting better and better. Pete is such a great performer, he belongs on the stage, you always get more than your monies worth when you see him . Not only is Pete such a great performer, but he is a lovely ,gorgeous looking man. When he left the Big brother house his dream was to have a music career. His music is so different to what you hear in the charts, but it's fun and happy, what music should be all about in my opinion. |

That music sounds like somebody got a big cowpat, flattened it down, hardened it and played it on a record player.
Maybe it's just that all Happy Hardcore is ****, but I find it hard to believe that there's much that's as bad as this tripe. The music's not even that bad, it's just the vocals are amongst the most terrible, terrible terrible crap I've ever heard. AND THE LYRICS, DID I MENTION THE LYRICS??? |

Ethan. It's at
www.myspace.com/perfectpetemusic I won't taint your opinion of it further. You can draw your own conclusions as to exactly how it is crap. |

Oh, by the way, to clarify I don't know much about Happy Hardcore. I don't like or dislike it in general. I know that I certainly wouldn't call this music techno or experimental so I'm assuming it's happy hardcore. On this evidence alone I would dislike happy hardcore but I expect there are artists who are doing it a lot more justice somewhere.

For example, I'll try to hijack this thread by putting links to two local bands. www.myspace.com/midas www.myspace.com/beatunion Notice how they have similar number of myspace hits to Pete Bennett. So first look at the number and THEN LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. You can't even compare the two because those two bands make music that is SO, SO MUCH BETTER. This is why I want, nay HAVE to be rude here. To stop people from listening to bad music when they could be listening to much better things. |
