heard 4 of the songs so far - they weren't great but national take a little bit of time to sink in. Have tix to see them in May as well - will be 2nd time seeing them

thx for this!! Their last album - Alligator - should be in EVERY indie fan's collection...

Kind of disappointing compared to Alligator, but still pretty good. Some people are already calling album of the year, but I don't think it'll be anywhere near that even if it grows on me.

True, I love Fake Empire, fantastic song, but the rest sorta pales in comparison. There are no standout tracks like Lit up, Friend of mine, All the wine, Abel and Mr. November from Alligator. Great drumming on most tracks but somehow most of the songs don't really go anywhere...the lead vocals just get monotonous after a while...
