I spent the 'second summer of love' avoiding twats in global hypercolor shirts blowing whistles. |
Nu Rave has become a bit of a buzz word, sadly. I mean you're getting teens ranting on about glowsticks and whistles and yet dont even listen to anything remotely close to dance/electro music. Sad, but that is life.
Anyway, I'd like to see Klaxons go from strength to strength. They're obviously quite intelligent and I think that is important in lasting. If they bring out a second album with good substance, I'd be very pleased. I also want to recommend the xerox teens, who I first on the Steve Lamacq show last year some time and now rate quite highly. I suppose they fit in with the "nu rave" sound. Note: When did it stop being called Neo-Rave? I think that was more catchy. |
The klaxons are ok, like atlantis interzone not much other ones though
Enter shikari I like, didn't at first but I grew into them. |
Yeah that Klaxons album is pretty good I think - shame its getting lumped in the 'nu-rave' category but I think they are trying to play down the nu rave thing a bit now - not dressing up so much etc. etc,
For fun this is the clothes designer Cassette Playas website (cassetteplaya.com) she did loads of nu rave stuff - I really like the website but I think the clothes suck |
lolklaxons.
ok, so this whole latest nurave craze annoys the **** outta me. and i hatehatehate hadouken! with a passion. and SHITDISCO too. & also how everyone feels the need to dress like glittery circus cunts annoys me a bit too. so! all in all. not impressed? also.. do enter shikari even come into this at all? i hear no nu rave in there, other than their use of synth. |
