The Noisettes.
I saw them supporting the fratellis (or someone like that) some time last year and thought they were wicked, good to see that they're getting some recognition, but not enough!!!
really not enough. their blend of garage rock, soul and general oddness is nice to see but nobody seems to be gioving them the time of day. nearly saw them a while back and i suspect i will in the future. some of the best lyrics ive heard for a long while.
Ah crap a guy i used to work for was involved in the sound setup for one of their gigs a while back, he's a bell-end so these better be ****e.
I saw them a year or so ago, and I thought they were a tad boring. Nothing special, nothing new, just okay.
Oh good, so they're not as he put it 'comonly known as the best band in britianright now that personally asked me to do their sound engeneering for them'
oh i had some of their stuff on my other computer(it's really all gone) i think i really liked their songs with something about binary codes and misogyny...they're good though
I saw them live supporting Muse. I thought they were pretty rubbish. The drums and guitar were alright, but I didn't go so much on the singer and the songs were crap.
EDIT: Listened to the songs on the myspace and they sound much, much better than they did live. The singer sounds really good - I think there's been some studio magic worked on this voice... she just kind of shouted through the whole gig. |
With the help of modern computing even my flat as a pancake voice can sound moderately ok.:)
I got the album yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. I'm liking everysong on it. I'm just hoping they've kept something back for a later date and don't go "the Darkness" on are arses!!
