Default Maps and Atlases

Really sick Indie band that I found a while ago, figured i'd make a thread about them because they deserve it.

They're a really good band from Chicago. Their music is poppy and technical at the same time. They have a 3 song ep out, but all three of the songs are on their myspace page- www.myspace.com/mapsandatlases

Make sure to check out the song Every Place Is A Home, it is an amazing song.

Yeah skills, sure, but not really appeal. It's not 'fun' listening to, and they don't seem to have great lyrics either.

I think the appeal is more for people who appreciate post-emo. It seems to be a step away from it.

Dave you know that Tree, Swallow, Houses has 7 tracks not 3 right?
I think I'll up it later.

I dont like the vocals...but the riffs on Everyplace is a home are insane..Reminds me of Justin King.

This is pretty damn GREAT. That megaupload link isn't working though, for some reason.

Their music seems to derive more from emo, than from the influences they named.

*edit* link works now. YES!

Oh man I love these guys. So great. I didn't like the vocals that much when I first heard them, now I love them. Grew on me a lot.
