Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin
Wonderful indie pop band. I mean wonderful like if you don't like them then I just won't be your friend anymore. I Am Warm and Powerful is my favorite song and Broom is a kick arse album.

Broom is good, I need to listen to it more.

Expendable, highly.

i love them. <3
|
really good. elements of their music scream weezer at me, other elements scream pavement, and they have their own little thing going on too. OVERALL, good call.
|
New album is solid, this band is so consistent. Dead Right and Think I Wanna Die is my favorite are my favorite. "Carried a torch for days / I'm gonna let it burn" beautiful.
|
liked their first album... they have a new one out then? will get it if so...

that combination alone almost made me disregard this band forever. I went looking through my brothers computer and found a few tracks & really enjoyed what I heard. They remind me of The Shins if anything. |
I'm digging it, they have a very solid sound.

they are good

Brand new album out!
I've only heard a few songs from it so far but damn they have nailed it again. What a talented bunch: |

I've played it once or twice and found it quite mediocre. The only other album I've heard is Broom, which is good but still not all that great or unique either. A pretty average indie pop band. |

I was too quick to judge that they "nailed it". I heard 3 tracks that I really like, Let it Sway, Stuart Gets Lost Dans Le Metro, Critical Drain and automatically assumed that the whole cd was gonna rock. I would disagree with you though about being an "average" indie-pop band. When performing live they have three band members that switch position between the drums, bass and electric guitar. Their song writing ability is amazing on their first two cds, and their lyrics are pretty solid on Let it Sway. Pershing doesn't have a song that I don't like on it. Brilliance from beginning to end. I hope they will continue making music and improve on the next thing they release. I rate the newest release 6.75/10 |
They're from Springfield, MO (where I live) and they were at CD Warehouse on Record Store Day playing an acoustic set. REALLY good band.
I gotta catch them live sometime, they're apparently touring with Tokyo Police Club nowadays. |
