Didn't even see this thread. I would've put it in Electronic, but whatever.
This album is a lot of fun. To give a brief description to those who don't know, Sally Shapiro is the pseudonym of a Swedish singer, and the album is basically Italo Disco only with your typical female Swedish Pop vocals. It's kind of this year's Pop guilty pleasure in that if it were a Kylie Minogue album or something everyone would hate it, but it's by some unknown Indie chick so everybody loves it. Anyway, it's really good. I had posted a link in another thread, but it looks like it expired. :/ |

Yeah I listened to it to quite a few times, but I have to say, such a strange sound (em, Italo-disco is so 20 years ago which lands it in the much hated 80's) doesn't have a long lasting appeal. I doubt I'll be listening to much of it in the future. A fun diversion from really good records.

When I first heard about this I was expecting some kind of retro 60s lounge pop mixed with dance music , which I do have a soft spot for.
Sadly to me it just sounded like some 80s cheesy euro disco. Major disappiontment.
