I'll always love the Dandy Warhols regardless of what their output is just because I grew up listening to them, but really... This is probably my second favorite song ever. Hard to imagine that they used to make this kind of music. Last edited by cornandbeans; 12-04-2009 at 10:54 PM. |

Their earlier stuff is more psychedelic/shoegaze and kind of pop rock. Their newer tunes seem to be a little less organic sounding and since dropping off of Capitol they've lost a lot of recognition.
If you're new to them, I'd start with their album Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia and work your way back. The Dandys Rule, Ok? is my personal favorite but there are gems on all of their albums. Great track from Thirteen Tales! |

Well, I know responding to this post now is pointless but, I'd have to disagree with you. The only thing connecting the two would be having Andy Warhol somehow involved being it inspiration for a name or having him boast your music around. Oh, and also, VU was very much pop like post Cale years... bu-dum-ba-dum.
