They are simply my favorite band.

I love Connor Oberst despite the fact that he's probably a ****.

That's the feel I get.

I love his lyrics though, to death. They inspire a lot of my poetry.

Cassadega was a pretty good feeling album, but I'm sad Connor is starting to sing more about politics and less about his problems! :D
I have maybe 30 albums by bright eyes or compilations on my computer.
I'm seeing Connor and the Mystic Valley Band in July.
Any hope of hearing some of my favorite Bright Eyes classics?

I got "Cassadega" last week on a recommendation from a friend and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was considering some of this persons' previous recommendations turned out to be steaming piles of excrement.

he's used some of them in his solo projects i think they've performed "Lua", most likely if they don't already have a set songlist for a show you might be able to make requests.

Cassadaga was the first album i got. some of my friends started with Motion Sickness

Cassadaga isn't the best place to start, and motion sickness is a live album so I wouldn't recommend that to beginners either. Lifted is probably your best bet if you want to get into Bright Eyes.

fiddlestix 06-04-2009 07:56 PM

Yeah. Start With Lifted.
