What I was going for is there is no fluff or meaningless catchy song he writes to become popular. You are completely right. It's so cool to hate Cassadaga but it really was **** compared to the rest of his material.

We really should have bet on how poorly Outer South would be rated by Pitchfork guys.

Anyway I think it's a great album - it's not as good as self-titled but Roosevelt Room is the best song he's written in forever.

Can't say I was too hot about it the first time I listened to it, but I'm sure it'll grow on me like all his material does.

I really can't get into Outer South. It just sorta bored me. I'll be weird and say I adore Cassadaga, and dislike his solo work.

I had one of the most amazing experiences of my life listening to Bright Eyes.

I got really...chemically altered....and listened to Coat Check Dream Song. I was laying on my bed just going with it, and it took me on a journey I swear.

Anyway. A lot of their stuff is pretty good. I think the first song I liked by them was Landlocked Blues. Ahh college.
