Conor is turning into quite the stage whore, thats why I'm hoping his solo album will be a little more stripped down and intimate. I have a feeling it's gonna sound alot like I'm Wide Awake though, which is where I think his music started to turn generic

Cassadaga still doesn't feel like a full album to me, which my main complaint with it and still is. It has some truly wonderful tracks, but then some that I skip over every listen no matter what. Classic Cars is probably my favorite track from the album still, and if it were just a single I'd rant forever about it, but it gets caught between garble like Middleman and Make a Plan to Love Me.....it's hard to give the good tracks the credit they deserve.

Digital Ash and Wide Awake were hardly the albums of a whiny teenager.

Also Conor produced the album and Andy LeMaster helped. The Mystic Valley Band is doing the backing stuff so go after those live shows! And the album was recorded in Mexico in Jan/Feb so it's done. |
