Was reading my Story Of Creation Records book the other day when I came across this lot.Remembered I had a compilation somewhere with a couple of their songs & gave them a listen and was wowed enough to investigate further.

This lot are how I wanted My Bloody Valentine to sound like. Shoegazer? this lot would probably spit on their shoes rather than gaze at them. This lot put the 'noise' into noise pop.

They`re loud , droning , aggressive and i`ve never heard any other shoegazer band scream this loud before.

Apparently they went out on tour with the Jesus & Mary Chain on it`s release.

I`d sell my own mother to have seen that.

Glad to see there's a thread about these guys... I just picked up "Taste" and damn. It's like shoegaze on cocaine. I don't think I've ever heard this kind of screaming in any shoegaze band but damn, it's kick ass. If I had to give a short description of this band it would have to be Spacemen 3/Stooges/Sonic Youth.

I would'nt mine giving this a listen if the link can be active again.

Good call Urban, 'Taste' be grate, really violent and Stooges-like... their later stuff is a lot more dreamy, but I am still a big fan of Celeste EP, i'll stick it up at some point if anyone is interested in hearing the difference.

Just got hold of Taste and i freaking love it. A particularly aggressive brand of shoegaze which is right up my street.
