Tbh, I overlooked him at first, preferring to sniff up Final Fantasy who completely enamoured me at first listen.
However, re-listening to him was so worth it. I can't describe how much I like his electronic/folk sounds. It's blending two of my favourite genres, and surprisingly Patrick does it very well. I think I prefer his first album Lycanthropy to all his other albums, even though they have great songs on them too (namely The Libertine from WiTW and Accident & Emergency from TMP). I think I prefer Lycanthropy because it feels darker to his other, especially "The Child Catcher" which is just frankly disturbing. last note, Tristan is pretty much pwnage. I would easily say it's his best song. |
