I remember meeting a guy who had gotten a tattoo with their new album logo just as it came out (whichever album was new at the time - something with colored arrows) and thinking that was risky. What if he gave it a couple weeks and thought it was actually a mildly disappointing album?
EDIT: At least that's what I always thought it was. Now I can't find that logo. I remember roughly how it looked. |

"Krazy" for Kasabian!!
I was aware of them from first release, but only knew "Club Foot". If I'd heard "LSF" or "Reason Is Treason" would've been on them "like white on rice"! Saw one of the Brit. festivals on MTV Live over the summer & immediately purchased DVD w/bonus CD of Live At The O2 & added them to Pandora Primal Scream station. Since that contained all my favorites from West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum (which I think is their best) and Velociraptor, that filled my musical appetite for about a month, when I craved more Kasabian! So, purch. 48:13 Deluxe I to have another DVD (since they're so amazing live! Even better than studio) I got lucky to get another DVD Live at Reading Festival 2012. Have another music lover friend who I got the double CD W.R.P.L.A. and Velociraptor, who also instantly became fan and went on to purchase entire catalog! I think they're releasing something new in '19 (hope so!!)[/COLOR] |

You go Karen gurl!! I think they will be releasing something next year but wouldn’t be too surprised if they decide to take a year or two out. My bank would be happy with that.

Hi-Hahah Fetcher...cute re: bank!
Who else are Kasabian lovers listening to? Since their music is so on a whole different level, it's a little tough to transition from them to another, but since 48:13 was more electronic, I can go from that to Metric (who've always combined guitars w/electronic; but they're not spacerock, or British...I so wish British would be it's own music category!). I've also loved since Synthetica and leapt for the new Art of Doubt release which is their career highlight (and, IMO, 2018's best new release, but there were quite a few in 2018; it was good music year). Blue Stones, too, but not so currently into blues. Maybe I'm not familiar enough w/forum, but I'm not finding what I'd hoped to w/discovering new music (either brand new, or just something I've missed); there seem to be a lot of metal and/or European listener members. Anyone have any helpful tips for navigating here? I've joined as many musical streams as I can find. Get updates from Allmusic and Pitchfork and some others. I've opened some new stations on Pandora hoping to get more leads (even though only real solid leads I've gotten there have been Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Billy Boy on Poison 2-3 years ago now). Found Plegemusic, a music-funding site, which is good for a lot of indie's. Actually, got Razorlight's Olympus Sleeping there (know they're derivative; like 'em anyway) Thanks! |
