I've just been listening to Needle in the Hay a lot lately, but he seems like a good artist to check out. What album would you guys recommend?

I have been partial to LA, Question Mark, and Junk Bond Trader since I first started listening to elliot in I think '03 or '04. Good review, in my opinion one of the better songwriters of our generation. He certainly was able to be very descriptive and put together great stories in his music.

His third album Either/Or is usually his most popular album to begin with, so I'd recommend that one.

Get his s/t first.

I just got XO, and it's pretty damn good. Better then Either/Or, but not as good as self-titled.

I think Either/Or is better than XO.

XO was my initial favorite but eventually Either/Or won me over. It was a hard fought battle.
