I think a song like Ginger would do great in Rock Band if they released it an indie track pack. But I think it just comes down to us not wanting people becoming fans through games like these are meeting someone with a Lilys shirt and having a conversation like this.

Real Fan: Hey man cool Lilys T shirt whats your favorite song?
Fake Fan: ummm All of them, my favorite is the one Guitar Hero.

I fear this happening to Elliott Smith

Sonic Youth is a good band for these kinda games but not Elliott. I dont think it'll be Needle in the Hay because it doesnt seem Guitar Hero worthy I mean it was one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar. Im thinking something from Figure 8 or From a Basement.

Possibilities:
A Distorted Reality Is Now Necessity To Be Free
Junk Bond Trader
Don't Go Down
Wouldn't Mama Be Proud

I'd imagine Junk Bond Trader would b the best fit, but who knows.

Yeah, probably anything from his major label albums. The big labels like to whore their music. Also, they have heavier, electric guitar based songs that suit the came better. I for some reason thought "Son of Sam" when I first read it.

Also, Sonic Youth also had "Kool Thing" in one of the games. I don't remember which one though.

But, sir... I got one of the last Lilys T's so... it would be highly unlikely that I'd find a poser wearing one. Also, those scene ***gots are going to be pretending to like Elliott Smith after this is out for a couple of months.

Anybody else think Figure 8 is dogshit? His first three albums are sublime, as are From a Basement on a Hill and New Moon. I just cant dig his baroque pop.
