I think Either/Or is his fourth best album. His last three are just so much better song wise, regardless of production.

I think it's best to listen to his discography in chronological order, just to see his evolution as a songwriter.

Hm, I disagree. The music might have gotten bigger as he progressed, but I think the really good songwriting was toward the beginning of his career.

Some of my favourite songwriting is from Either/Or and XO. But all in all I think Figure 8 is my favourite album. Well, tie between XO and F8.

For me it's a tie between Figure 8 and Basement, but it changes all the time.
