I have listened to his s/t and Either/Or.
Which should I listen to next if I liked the Self Titled one more. Or are all the other cds more like Either/Or. |
They all sound more like Either/Or, but I find XO to be better then the S/T, and like S/T way more then Either/Or.
Anybody else think Figure 8 is dogshit? His first three albums are sublime, as are From a Basement on a Hill and New Moon. I just cant dig his baroque pop.
I wouldn't go as far to call it "dog****" but it's definitely my least favorite. There are at least a couple songs I like but other than that I could care less for it.
Figure 8's my favorite album of his actually. So no, I do not find it to be the music equivalent of dog excrement.
Figure 8 has some good tracks, LA is the only one that really jumps to mind but its the least likely I'm going to listen to. His acoustic stuff is his best, very initimate when its just him and his guitar then the pop of Figure 8.
I think Figure 8 is great. Junk Bond Trader, Son of Sam, In The Lost and Found = solid tracks.
It has Junk Bond Trader and LA, but those are the only trakcs that really stand out. The album's okay though, and I prefer it to Either/Or most of the time.
Figure is great, I like every song. Standouts for me would be:
Junk Bond Trader Everything Reminds Me Of Her Everything Means Nothing To Me In The Lost And Found Easy Way Out Color Bars |
Yeah I'm with Proggy. I don't know what the fuck you guys are talking about with all this Figure 8 hate.
