That wasn't a dig to him. I'm just saying that those who can sympathize with his songs are likely to be the people avoiding school dances or being the wallflower.

I went to a dance recently for the first time in my high school career, and it was the one of the most awkward moments in recent memory. Elliott Smith is one of my favorite musicians ever.
