I Can Hear the Heart Beat As One is a great record. What I like about them is that the noise/pop ratio in their music is usually about 50/50.

I have had I'm Not Afraid Of You And I Will Beat Your Ass for some time and really liked it but was unsure where to go next, so today I bought the 2 CD comp-Prisoners Of Love. I am impressed. Very consistent. It is not usually what I go for but I can definitely say that I want more of this band. They deserve a wider fan base.

I was listening to And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside Out. I enjoyed it so I'm gonna grab some of their earlier stuff.

Get I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One, it's probably their best.

That's fortunate because it's the one other YLT album I already have. Just haven't listened to it yet.

Painful is also up there, and they have lots of good stuff. Yo La Tengo rule.

/bump.

I have tried and tried... and tried to like Painful but I cannot wrap my head around it, all the songs sound the same to me.

On another note, I loved I Am Not Afraid Of You and I Will Beat Your Ass, there's alot of varation on it. It's my favorite right after I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One and And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out.

I have just got the rest of their discography and they constantly change their sound but still keep the asthetics. Awesome band.

Has anyone heard "Yo La Tengo Is Murdering the Classics"? I have a hard time believing they did that all on the spot but it's still pretty cool.

I've been meaning to check this lot out for too long, but something else comes along every time. I'll definately give them a look after i've finished my research on Menomena
