Heartless Bastards

Been looking around for a download of their album 'All This Time' but have drawn a blank. So you`ll have to do with a myspace link. They`re a female fronted power trio fronted by Erika Wennerstrom who to me sounds like Kim Gordon with a southern country accent. Reminds me a lot of Sonic Youth / early PJ Harvey. Please someone find the album

It's pretty damn good. If I find anything, which I doubt I will, I'll post it.

Their debut was my favourite album of 2005 and Sleater Kinney released The Woods in 2005!
The Bastards record is that damn good.

I picked up 'The Mountain' after hearing about this band through the Patrick Carney (Black Keys) connection. I am quite impressed. Vocals are amazing. I've been reading into it, and apparently most dislike this album compared to the debut and follow up... so I'll have to check those out as well. Must say, the title track is excellent though- underrated top track of the year potential IMO.

Listened to The Mountain and i can see the PJ in there. Didn't set me on fire but there's a lot to like, very distinctive voice. |
