they're one of my favorite bands. they write good songs that every young woman can relate to. as cheesy as it may sound. Call It Off is my favorite song at the moment. but they i like a lot of their songs.

I have So Jealous and I thought it was quite good scratch one song which I just couldnt stand. What's the next album I should check out? I alos think they have great haircuts. ;)

FaSho 10-24-2008 02:12 PM

The Con.

Disintegration 11-03-2008 03:42 PM

I listened to them back sometime in '05 and I only liked one or two songs. Then I completely forgot about them until last year. I downloaded their albums and fell in love.

I think it can take a while to really get into them.

They do have great haircuts, and cute tatts.
I love The Con.

kthedrummer 11-06-2008 08:24 AM

I only have the Con and like it quite a bit...I have heard the White Stripes version of Walking with a Ghost but haven't checked out the Tegan and Sara version...Back in Your Head is a great song and they are Canadian and I love all things Canadian.

Roygbiv 11-06-2008 08:50 AM

They're bigger than I thought they were : P
Living in Toronto, sometimes you encounter local indie music celebrities, like Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene and Tegan (or was it Sara?).

I liked them for a little bit, but I just couldn't relate to their music, I guess.

briewithoutsound 09-03-2009 03:07 PM

Tegan & Sara are adorable! I love their music too ^^ Hop A Plane; Soil, Soil; and You Wouldn't Like Me are my favoriteeees!

Charlemagne 09-03-2009 05:57 PM

I love Tegan and Sara! They are listed here as my favorite band, I think actually they are my second favorite band, but all their songs are amazing, including their early demos, which blew me away considering they were only 16-18 when they made those tapes. My favorite album of theirs is This Business of Art, my favorite songs are Nineteen, Painting Songs (Days and Days), Hello and They're Waiting for You. I am so excited for Sainthood, which is coming out on the 25th of October, the first album in which they collaborated and wrote songs together!!

Bane of your existence 09-07-2009 04:17 PM

For some reason I can only listen to Tegan and Sara as singles. I can't spin a whole album all the way through. But I do love them.

franzfergidon 09-08-2009 10:48 AM

I love Tegan and Sara... at first I only really liked The Con, but then I recently listened to So Jealous and found out that it's got more to offer than I originally thought.

I also really enjoy this cover:

nevershoutneverislove 09-22-2009 11:46 PM

i feel like a music n00b when i read some threads. :/ that upsets me. i just starting getting into indie and i love it. Ive always loved alternative buti feel like im missing something..... educate me?

i LOOOOVE Walking with a Ghost but thats pretty much the only son ive really loved. as of now im trying to get into them, sometimes it just takes awhile. :)

Colton 09-23-2009 09:07 AM

I <3 Tegan and Sara

Definitely "the Con" and "Call it off" from the album the Con.

There is this line from Call it off where they sing, "Maybe you would've been something I'd be good at."

Good stuff. They're getting better with time imo.

Hey I work for Best Buy. You are now aware. And my opinions are strictly my own and not of the Yellow Tag.

indienerd 10-03-2009 12:51 AM

Tegan and Sara are coming up to Cornell in Ithaca the day before Halloween! So excited that good music is actually coming all the way up here!

Dr.Seussicide 10-03-2009 12:44 PM

Terrible Storm and Superstar are two of my favorite tracks from them. If It Was You is a pretty album as well.

bardonodude 10-04-2009 07:10 AM

I have always thought tegan and sarah are incredibly overrated, generic, and unfun.

Charlemagne 10-06-2009 04:17 PM

Hell was just released as an album single and I can't stop listening to it! Sainthood just might be the best Tegan and Sara album to date!

loveissucide 10-19-2009 05:48 PM

I liked So Jealous a lot,but wasn't pushed on The Con.They do sound great as a singles band though,I'd wait for some sort of anthology.

Zer0 11-20-2009 10:46 AM

I love their new album Sainthood, i can't stop playing it :D 'Hell' and 'The Cure' are such great songs. One of the albums of the year for me.

peacesrc 11-20-2009 04:47 PM

Eh, I think they're okay. Not really my cup of tea though. I'm a little more of a Meg&Dia or Lydia girl.
