Ike Turner made an onstage appearence with Gorillaz.
I guess that makes him a full time member too.

Parklife was about the Americanisation of the UK with shopping malls and stuff all plastic whereas Oasis were about drugs and rock n roll.
I guess ideas that come from social feelings can evolve whereas songs about getting mashed last forever as they are but are harder to replicate. am I right? |

I didn't mention to composition credits as proof that you are wrong. I mentioned them because I don't see any evidence that Albarn was solely responsible. The composition credits could have been proof, if they listed only Albarn, but they don't. And Albarn being solely responsible doesn't match what I've read in the past. Quote:

Did he say in interviews about blur and oasis that damon was a genius who wrote all their great songs? I guess not. If you were a lawyer you'd be defending hoodies in Lambeth and I'd be prosecuting music moguls like Simon Cowell. Only kidding Urban. |

Dan the Automator or Del the Funkee Homosapien were never in Blur , does that make them lesser members of Gorillaz because of it? and you'd make a shit lawyer because your argument is full of holes your second point is just there for the sake of being there, it's totally meaningless in this context. I'm talking about band members not the songwriting.

Band members can be session musicians like Ringo in the Beatles.
The only reason we know of certain bands is because of the songs. There are bands in every pub up and down the world playing in pubs but Brian Wilson stayed at home and wrote the Beach Boys songs. Would we be talking about the Beach Boys if one of the others was responsible for the songs? I think not. Anyway, I was crediting Albarn and you turn on me. If I credit Oasis you turn on me. Me gets the feeling you don't like me very much Urban. Oasis are better but their latest single is a bit crap. |
