I used to love Oasis a lot, nowadays I still kind of like them, mostly the first two albums.

I've never heard a Blur album, but I've liked pretty much every song I've heard by them. I like the Gorillaz more though.

Blur are one of the best bands ever and damon albarn is a genius. i think oasis are a really good band for pubs and festivals but i wouldn't listen to them when im by myself, they just don't have any dept. blur all the way!

Albarn is a good songwriter and I love most of his stuff... but a genius....... hmmmmmm, well, not too sure about that notion...

Liam Gallagher To Disband Oasis If Noel Goes Solo | News @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

I bought all Oasis' singles and albums when I was younger, I was really into them in the 90's. I used to love that for only a fiver you'd always get four good tracks. They knew the imporatance of a good B-Side. I love most of their albums. Never really liked Heathen Chemistry too much, but I think Don't Believe The Truth was a great CD and I quite like Dig Out Your Soul, I'm Outta Time in particular, is one of my favourite Oasis tracks. I'm also a huge fan of Be Here Now, which is not too popular a statement these days.

I always liked Blur but not to the same extent. However, in the last couple of years I've really got into them. I love the ''Think Tank'' and ''Parklife'' albums in particular. Every other album has loads of great tunes as well. There is something about listening to them that has a really nostalgic feel too. Damon albarn and Graham Coxon together are a great partnership also.

I'm gonna see both bands live this Summer, so I suppose after the two gigs I could make a judgement on who I prefer!

From all the video footage I have seen, an Oasis gig looks to have one heck of a good atmosphere and vibe to it... but musically speaking I think I'd still prefer seeing Blur...

Oasis live is somewhat of a hit or miss situation, especially these days as Liam's voice deteriorates further every day. If you catch them on a good day then they are still a fantastic live band but their poorer gigs come round a little too often these days. Does anyone remember the Wembley gigs in 2000? The Wembley gigs are a perfect example. The one recorded for CD and DVD (released as "Familiar to Millions") was brilliant and the one broadcast on Sky One was dreadful. Liam was smashed, slurring his words, only singing what lyrics he could be bothered to sing and talking both between and during songs about whatever was on his mind, and none of it made any sense. Noel looked just a little cheesed off throughout and probably let him have it afterwards.

Every gig I've been to has been great. When I saw them in Marley Park in Dublin in 2005 it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. I've never seen Blur play, really lookin forward to that.
