I never said it had to be cheerful, I'm objecting to the way that they do sad songs lyrically.
K' so it's just your personal opinion, i can respect that

But like i said the thing you dislike is what i like the most about them.
For exmpl i got into them through the song "Heaven knows im miserable now" which has very whiny lyrics but the guitar rhythm is great so even if you don't like his message you can still enjoy other parts of the song.
