From The Kinks to the Jam, then through The Smiths and up to present day with The Arctic Monkeys. Great lyrically and very British.

I know The Smiths was an important band to the English. I've been reading this book about British popular culture after World War 2 and The Smiths comes up in the text quite often saying their music told about the longing of the earlier decades of the 20th century. I've also been listening to The Kinks and Arctic Monkeys. Thanks for welcoming me.

Its strange how people who don't know the musicians personally criticize them so personally.

The Smiths are great.

Its because Moz is so outspoken in his views, which are often pretty controversial. I have to admire him though, shows he has some balls to speak out, instead of trying to lick as much arse as possible.

very true...like how crust punks Ridicule people who listen to Bright
Eyes, yet when Conor Oberst gets the chance to speak his mind on contrversial issues he actually does, where as Leftover Crack keeps thier mouths shut like good little law abiding boys.

Have you listened to Morrissey live at earls court?
if you have, you can actually see how arrogant he is.
I do admire him for speaking out his views, but just the fact that he talks like he's gods gift, it's really not cool, and i don't see how people should look up to people like that.
I wasn't critisizing (i can't spell shh) him THAT personally, i could have said something worse/more direct about him.
and it's not like you know him anyway?
and i love the smiths. they're probably in my top 15 bands ever, it's the music that counts, surely.

wasn't attack ing anyone's comment directly, just a generalization about human behavior
its just a little too tabloidy to me to judge personalities of the famous. I don't really care what they're like, ill never know them and if their *******s then that sucks for people who do.
