Man I just got The Queen Is Dead and... wow. Every song seems to be fantastic, but m favorites are There Is A Light that never goes out, The Boy With The Thorn In His Side, and Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others

The only song I haven't really gotten into on Queen is Vicar In A Tutu, just kinda blah compared to the rest of the album.

The Smiths

The Queen Is Dead is a solid album, I'd have to name almost every track to say which ones i listen to a lot...
The Smiths is a great album too tho, Reel Around The Fountain is bloody good, isn't it?

The Smiths s/t has grown on me a lot, it really should be remastered.

The Fascinating Turnip 01-03-2010 04:01 PM

Yeah, it's somewhat grown on me too, it wasn't really love at first sight with the exception of Reel Around The Fountain. By the way, have you noticed that the version of Reel Around The Fountain in The Smiths sounds much warmer than the one in Hatful Of Hollow?

FaSho 01-03-2010 04:34 PM

Yes Reel Around The Fountain and This Charming Man sound so much better on the s/t.

The Fascinating Turnip 01-03-2010 04:41 PM

Aye. What do you think about Suffer Little Children? I don't see many people talking about it (not that i really looked much into it)

this charming man didn't hit you immeadiately? i feel like its one of the smiths catchiest and most accessible tunes. and hatful hollows, and the rest of compilations are great because morrissey remastered the tracks himself and improved a lot of them (imo)
