DeVotchKa
Now, I think I could place them somewhere in indie. MAYBE. If not, I'll move the thread. Anyway, has anyone ever heard of DeVotchKa? They toured with Dresden Dolls at the end of 2005. They truely are a great band. Personally, I like the vocals. And the fact they sometimes use a tuba in place of a bass is great. Also, I had never seen a theremin being used in a band ever. It was a very elusive thing. Hope somebody's heard of them. I'm all alone here.

They are constantly getting more eccentric and diverse, and A Mad And Faithful Telling is no exception. Along The Way, The Clockwise Witness, Transliterator, all great songs. |
I've downloaded it ages ago and still have to take a proper listen...I'm afraid to...:(
|
:( How so?
|
Well I love How it ends, but I don't think I played Curse your little heart much...I'm not sure if they can top HIE...:\

I've finally heard it and there are a couple of songs on there that are pretty good, namely Along the way and The clockwise witness. I suppose any fan should give it a go, but I doubt I'll be playing it much.

Holy crap my thread got a whole ton of attention while I've been gone.
They are finally coming back to my area for touring to support the new album, which I have unfortunately not heard one bit of. |
