search function isnt working AS PER USUAL....so who digs this band? their american which is a shame cos the UK needs a band like this...their damn damn leash EP is the nuts.

I like them. I've heard the songs off the EP and I downloaded a song called "Wildcat" from their site.

I love Damn Damn Leash far too much, I was singing that song for months.
Do the have or will they have an album out?

Well I hope their album is good because their cover of Queen's bicycle race is god aweful.

to the mods, please combine this thread with the previous one , as i'm sure there's already a thread about this band, but doing a search is impossible...

anyways, just listening to the album on nme.com, i like it so far, very raw and energetic, surprisingly enough, considering the lead vocalist is a female ( sorry girls, i'm just not used to women rocking this hard )...so yeah, love her voice and the passion with which she delivers it...fits the dissonant music perfectly....( oh, adventure just finished, very catchy track, i luv it! )

all that remains is to listen to it a couple of more times so i can conclude if it's actually any good...so far so good....

if you can find it, ill combine them (i got to page 20 in this forum with no luck)

i dunno, maybe there isn't one....

nah... i'd leave it in indie... it's certainly a crossover and more than enough so that the punk fans won't like 'em anyways...

have rec'd their single so far from the label... still waiting for the album.

terrible the music is not. fun, raucous, vivacious, energetic and raw it is. i like this band alot the album is actually very good. they've been compared to the yeah yeah yeah's..a band they smear with turd.

Like their album a lot, not sure i'll be listening to it in 6 months time but for now its great. 'Love Your Shotgun' and 'Thresher's Flail' are my favourites.

i was obsessed their video for 'damn damn leash' i wish i was in that fire snake dragon thingy....they're good..

Honestly, this band is nothing groundbreaking, just four kids out of Nashville making loud beachy rock. I can say this, they are tons of fun. Jemina Pearl, lead singer, is like Karen O and Angelica Pickel's of Rugrats thrown in a blender. They put on a great show. Jemina is full of energy, making you feel like something dangerous might happen during one of their sets... unless she isnt feeling the crowd, which usually consists of pretentious indie scenesters who all act like they've come to see some other band... and she'll let everyone know how she feels about it. ("THIS IS THE WORST ****ING SHOW WE HAVE EVER DONE! YOU PEOPLE SUCK *******!"... not a direct quote, but you catch the drift.) Yeah she's kind of a bitch, and dont be suprised if you catch her purging into towels and throwing them at people in the audience. They have alot of work to do if they want to gain any "street cred" amongst people, but I still enjoy them. I mean, theyre young, theyre not ready to grow up and that shows in their music.

They have a new album coming out called "Get Awkward", which doesnt even begin to compare to thier self-titled debut, although it's a good listen. It's more polished compared to the slapdash noise on their first record. Anyways, I recommend these tracks to start out with...

Get Awkward is the best album of 2008 thus far, "Heart Throb" being the best song of 2008

I'm not a big fan but they've got some fun stuff.
